Klaviyo Launches AI-Powered Agents to Transform Marketing and Customer Service
Klaviyo (NYSE:KVYO) is betting big on artificial intelligence, introducing two game-changing tools that could revolutionize how businesses handle marketing campaigns and customer interactions.
The $10.6 billion company unveiled its Marketing Agent and Customer Agent at the K:BOS event this week, positioning itself as an "AI-first B2C CRM" platform. Both tools are built on Klaviyo's existing data platform and are available immediately to users.
What These AI Agents Actually Do
Marketing Agent handles the heavy lifting of campaign creation:
- Generates complete marketing plans from just a website URL
- Creates on-brand content automatically
- Launches campaigns with minimal human oversight
- Tests content quality against brand standards
Customer Agent provides round-the-clock support across multiple channels:
- Answers questions about shipping, sizing, and order status
- Handles returns and customer inquiries via chat, SMS, and email
- Offers personalized product recommendations
- Can facilitate purchases directly
"Often, marketers dream bigger than the tools at their disposal," said Andrew Bialecki, Co-Founder and CEO of Klaviyo. "With Marketing Agent, we're delivering both: the capacity to turn bold ideas into reality and an AI partner to push their creativity further."
Why This Matters Now
The timing aligns with shifting consumer expectations. According to Klaviyo's 2025 AI Shopping Index, 63% of consumers expect AI assistants to be a normal part of online shopping by 2026. This suggests businesses that adopt these tools early may gain a significant competitive advantage.
Klaviyo's strong financial position supports this ambitious expansion - the company reported 33% revenue growth in the last twelve months and recently increased its fiscal year 2025 growth guidance to 27-28%.
The company also announced several platform updates, including secure connections to external AI models, data warehouse import capabilities, and an AI-powered image editor.
