Adobe Acquires AI Startup Rilo to Expand Agentic AI for Enterprise Marketing Teams
Adobe has acquired Rilo, an Indian AI startup that built natural-language workflow automation tools for marketing and go-to-market teams, expanding Adobe's push into agentic AI capabilities for enterprise marketers.
Rilo co-founder Dhruv Jaglan confirmed the acquisition in a LinkedIn post, saying the startup is joining Adobe to help bring AI to Fortune 500 marketers. The company was founded in 2025 by Jaglan and co-founder Georgi Boby, both IIT Bombay alumni.
Key deal details:
- Rilo built tools allowing marketing teams to automate workflows using natural-language instructions
- The startup crossed 10,000 users within months of launch
- Rilo had raised $1 million at a valuation of approximately $10 million, backed by PeakXV
- Existing users will be supported in migrating their workflows during the transition
The acquisition strengthens Adobe's CX Enterprise platform, an agentic AI system launched in April 2026 that combines customer data, content production, and marketing workflows. Adobe also completed its acquisition of Semrush in April 2026, adding search and brand visibility to the same platform.
This is Adobe's second reported acquisition of an Indian AI startup, following its 2023 purchase of Rephrase.ai.
The move signals consolidation in AI-powered marketing automation, as enterprise software vendors acquire specialized workflow tools to compete for marketing team budgets.
