Oracle is embedding AI directly into its core enterprise stack. Announced at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, the company unveiled an expanded partnership with OpenAI and a new product suite that brings ChatGPT and Codex into Oracle's enterprise applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

The centerpiece is Oracle AI Workspace, which connects ChatGPT to Oracle Fusion Applications, NetSuite, Oracle AI Database, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure through plugins. Employees can retrieve enterprise data, run approved workflows, and interact with Oracle systems without leaving their AI assistant. Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk described the goal as uniting OpenAI's capabilities with technology "businesses around the world rely on to run their most critical operations."

Two additional products round out the announcement. Oracle App Composer uses Codex to let non-technical employees build enterprise applications through natural language, while Oracle AI Security Mesh combines OpenAI cybersecurity models with Oracle-managed testing to identify vulnerabilities across cloud and on-premises environments. An AI SMB Bundle targets smaller businesses with ChatGPT Business, Codex, App Composer, NetSuite QuickStart, and $12,000 in annual OCI credits.

Oracle also expanded its AI Data Platform with an AI Registry to track agents, tools, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, plus planned governance capabilities to monitor agent performance, costs, and permissions.

Key Takeaways

  • Oracle AI Workspace embeds ChatGPT into enterprise apps including Fusion and NetSuite, enabling workflow execution inside the AI assistant.
  • An AI Registry and governance layer will help enterprises track agents and MCP servers -- expected within 12 months.
  • Channel partners gain new integration and managed services opportunities as enterprise customers shift from AI experimentation to operational deployment.
