Research and advisory firm Aragon Research has introduced the P.A.T.H. AI Framework, a structured model designed to help enterprise organizations plan and scale their AI deployments without skipping critical maturity stages.

The framework uses four dimensions to assess an organization's AI readiness: Performance Impact (P), Ambition Level (A), Transformation Maturity (T), and Harnessed Orchestration (H). Together, these dimensions are meant to give executives a diagnostic lens — not just a roadmap, but a way to identify where their AI efforts are generating value and where they may be outpacing their own organizational capacity.

Aragon structures adoption into three phases: Walk, Jog, and Run. Organizations in the Jog phase, according to the firm's research, achieve approximately 2.5x improvement in operational speed compared to companies still in the Walk phase. The framework is designed to prevent two common failure modes: phase-skipping (deploying advanced capabilities before foundational processes are in place) and misaligned ambition (setting AI goals that don't match the organization's actual data, governance, or talent infrastructure).
