AWS Launches Free AI Advisor for Startups—Backed by 350,000 Startup Insights

Amazon Web Services is betting that AI can replace the role of a startup’s most expensive advisor. AWS just launched two new tools aimed squarely at founders: AWS Startup Advisor and agentic migration tooling—both designed to reduce the time and cost of building and scaling on AWS.

What AWS Startup Advisor Does

The AI-powered assistant draws on insights from over 350,000 startups running on AWS and the expertise of thousands of AWS Solutions Architects. It learns a startup’s tech stack, business stage, and infrastructure requirements to deliver tailored recommendations covering:

  • Cloud cost management
  • AWS service selection and optimization
  • Architecture and security guidance as the company scales

The tool is positioned specifically for non-technical founders building AI-first products. It adapts as the startup grows—and it comes at no additional cost. Users pay only for the AWS resources they actually deploy.

Agentic Migration: Weeks to Days

The second announcement addresses a persistent bottleneck: moving applications, AI models, and infrastructure to the cloud. AWS’s new agentic migration capabilities—available through startups.aws and developer tools including Kiro, Claude Code, and Cursor—are designed to compress migration timelines from weeks or months to days.

Context: AWS’s Startup Ecosystem Scale

  • A majority of the world’s top 100 startups run AI services on AWS
  • Startup sales through AWS Marketplace more than doubled year-on-year last year
  • AWS offers over 240 cloud services spanning AI, compute, databases, and security

For founders evaluating cloud infrastructure, these tools lower the barrier to getting started—replacing what previously required significant consulting overhead with AI-guided self-service guidance.
