India IT Q1 2026: AI Shifts Business Models From Services Delivery to Outcome Pricing
India's IT Earnings Signal AI Has Moved From Add-On to Operating Model
India's Q1 2026 IT earnings season is producing a consistent signal across eight companies: AI is no longer being bolted onto existing IT services delivery. Companies including TCS, Infosys, HCLTech, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Mphasis, LTIMindtree, and Coforge are redesigning internal structures around AI, shifting to outcome-based pricing, and repositioning themselves as enterprise AI platforms.
From AI Services to AI-Native Organization
LTIMindtree reorganized into three lines of business — iRun, iTransform, and Business AI — built around its BlueVerse ecosystem. It reported that Creative AI, Industrial AI, and Business AI combined are contributing approximately $150 million in quarterly run-rate revenue. CEO Venu Lambu described the shift as moving from the phase of AI creation to AI deployment, where enterprises are focused on putting AI into production rather than evaluating models.
Coforge outlined a similar direction with its Neuron offering, which is designed to connect workflows, governance, enterprise knowledge, and decision-making across organizations. The company said six to seven percent of its revenue is already outcome-based.
Pricing Models Are Changing
The productivity-linked pricing transition appears to be accelerating. LTIMindtree said discussions with large clients on productivity-linked pricing are now behind us and that new contracts already reflect AI-led productivity improvements, including a commercial model called BlueVerse Currency offering outcome-based pricing for AI services.
Infosys noted growing client interest in outcome-based pricing, though it is not yet a major portion of activity.
Accountability Replaces Experimentation
Mphasis CEO Nitin Rakesh captured the broader shift: Twelve months ago, every enterprise conversation began with model access and experimentation. Today, it begins with accountability.
