Radware Introduces AI Security Solution: LLM Firewall Guards Against GenAI Threats
Cybersecurity company Radware has launched its LLM Firewall, a specialized protection tool designed to secure generative AI applications from prompt-level attacks. This new solution addresses growing enterprise concerns about AI security vulnerabilities as organizations integrate large language models into their business operations.
The LLM Firewall operates as an add-on to Radware's existing Cloud Application Protection Services and represents the company's first step toward comprehensive AI security solutions for enterprises. Unlike traditional security measures, this tool focuses specifically on protecting AI interactions at the prompt level, intercepting threats before they reach the underlying language model.
Key Security Features
The solution offers several critical protection capabilities:
- Real-time threat detection - Blocks malicious prompts and prevents data exfiltration attempts before they reach customer LLMs
- Compliance support - Helps organizations meet GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection requirements by safeguarding sensitive information
- Universal compatibility - Works across different AI platforms without disrupting existing workflows or innovation processes
According to Constance Stack, Chief Growth Officer at Radware, the solution addresses fundamental AI security challenges. "Think of it as WAF for LLMs, but instead of guarding against HTTP-level exploits, it helps mitigate against natural language exploits specific to LLM behavior," Stack explained.
The LLM Firewall specifically targets the 2025 OWASP Top 10 Risks and Mitigations for LLMs and Gen AI Apps, addressing critical vulnerabilities like prompt injection attacks, jailbreak attempts, and resource abuse.
This launch reflects the broader enterprise need for AI-specific security tools as companies balance innovation with risk management in their AI adoption strategies.
