Meta’s Business AI Reaches 10 Million Weekly Conversations — and Monetization Is Coming

Meta’s business AI tools may not be dominating AI headlines, but the numbers tell a different story. The company reported that its business AI facilitated approximately 10 million conversations per week as of late March 2026 — a tenfold increase from just the beginning of the year. The announcement came during Meta’s first-quarter earnings call alongside strong financial results and a significant expansion of its generative AI ad tools.

The growth comes as Meta recently expanded the beta program for its business AI assistant across the U.S., EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions. The tools are currently free for small businesses, but CEO Mark Zuckerberg signaled that won’t last: “Business AIs today are currently free for most businesses on our messaging apps, but as we make more progress, we expect that we will also work towards establishing a longer-term monetization model.”

Powered by a New AI Division

Meta’s business AI products are now being powered by Muse Spark, the first large language model released under the company’s newly established Meta Superintelligence Labs division. The move signals a more consolidated AI development structure as Meta pushes to integrate AI more deeply across its suite of business and consumer platforms.
