Microsoft Is Merging All Its AI Tools Into One Copilot Super App — Here’s What’s Coming

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella confirmed during the company’s earnings call that Copilot is evolving from a scattered collection of AI features into a single unified “super app” that will work across consumer and enterprise experiences. The app is set to launch this quarter and may arrive directly on Windows 11 machines without requiring a separate download.

What the Copilot Super App Includes

According to Nadella, the new Copilot app will bring together multiple tools under one interface:

• Autopilots for automated task handling
• Cowork for collaborative AI-assisted work
• Code for AI-powered development assistance
• The existing Copilot chatbot for general queries and content generation

Engagement Is Growing — But Questions Remain

Nadella shared that Copilot user satisfaction scores have doubled and that weekly engagement is now on par with Outlook and Teams. Conversations per user have nearly doubled year-over-year. He did not specify whether these figures include users engaging with Copilot embedded inside those products.

The move mirrors similar consolidation plays by OpenAI (ChatGPT Work) and Anthropic (Claude Cowork), suggesting the industry is converging on unified AI workspaces as the primary interface for enterprise AI.
